Alternatives

Standard

An infringement of my human fights
When you
Eschew
My light to seek
Alternatives to what I reap
From what you sow
You know
Some words are weaponry
Whose only violence lives
Within the birth of changes
That they usher in
When uttering
We manifest our mould
Of dreamed desire
We can hold in futures cast
When speaking out
Ourselves
Our magic making
Task of recreating
Living reels we name
Realities we deal
From our own hands
In speaking out
You threat to steal
My light to see
The dreaming of nativity
When you eschew
The need in me
To speak alternatives
To what I reap
From what you sow.

Our Shared Humanity

Standard

We walking body bags
Of blood so flush with fluids
Rush in wash of rivers
Running round and round
We burst these banks
Too easily
We break the bond of membranes
Stretch to thin translucence
Weeps of wet to tear apart
Too readily
The red of rapids gape before
The wounded self to spill
Too open wide
To other eyes
Can see
Fragility
The single name
That we
The infinitely
Vulnerable
The lost and seeking
Fallible
In folly of our thinking
So invincible
We share this single name
We are the ones
Who fall…..

We Who Can Not See

Standard

We who can not see
We blind ourselves
And are the blind leading the blind…

My eye is blind
From my
I point the view
I can not really see
The you
In who
You happening
To breathe and be
You constellate
Configurations of
A spinning prism
Oscillates before
My eyes
I can not see
The move of matrix
Patterning of shifts
Of light the sight
Before my eyes
Is trapped too soon
Into the figurines
I weave
From mine and me
I can not see
The You
In Who
You happening
To breathe and be

The Wish

Standard

Did I
Not once
A child sighing
Sit and say
That I might ride
An Elephant across the sky

The cumbersome
Of weighty pain
To hold can crush
And ruin make in stomping
Round about in grime
And grinding down
To ground of bloody make
A wake of wading
Devastation
Never tame
Or ever let
The Elephant it is
To ride across the sky

The mysteries of solar space
That sing so madrigal
A call of song
In beautiful of
Wide and long and opening
To beckoning of stars above
I see a place to go
And bid to make
An elephant
To ride across the sky

Authenticity

Standard

Awful tensity
This city of me
At times my monoliths
Of made constructions
Laboured in a laboratory
Busy brewing self
Identity concocted
Crumbles down into
A tumbling of powers falling
Ruined piles in a rubble
That is razed
So crazily
Of Babel towers
Toppled down myself
The temples I erected
In that futile bid
For constancy
Continuing narration
Of I self
That I can know
And so I turn
To build again

Growth of Girth

Standard

Growth of girth
This body my earth
Is pregnant
With such seeding self
Will birth anew
My moon eclipses suffering
When knocked oblique
My crescents turn to winding tides
Within my axis widening to broad
Inside I find a universal hoard
Of secret stars to swim
And planets spinning
Winning streaks
That spread across the
Weak of dark the hid
The hard
Which tried to shade
My luminescent light
Will fade away
Distilled into
The midnight hue
Of night forever past and gone
