Rescue Me

Standard

I will to carry
Me in arms
Across the wide
Divide of I
This battle ground
Of no man’s land
To thy we have to flee
We fly for safety
Refugees are we
Our self is running
From our own oppression
Songs of longing
To belong are calling us
To carry on
Toward a different
Destiny we race
The carrier and baby face
Of I are one.

Knee Deep In Needy

Standard

Knee deep in needy
Wading through this weighty
Circumstance is not so bold
To hold me safely in a fold
From fear what’s dear
Is near but always
Not in grasp
My fingers slipping past
So fasting spiritual
Refrain from life
It’s all the same
When lost in pain
Knee deep in needy
Always ever pleading
Free me keep me
Weary heart no coward
Start again…

Act I Vision

Standard

Please don’t tease me
Don’t elude me now
Each tiny bit that bites
That has to fight
For life to right
From wrong
The song of justice
Longing to take on
I need your might
Not may each day
To sway each swell
Of living hells
That threatens all too well
This dwelling in the Earths
Rich splendour folk
On crusty ground
Are venders of each ruin
Or the makers of our road
To glory rich in stories
Spelling histories
Of man-ifesting
Factors for the fixtures
Of the fissures
Wrought by citizens
Of willing worlds
In universal wheeling
Wills with wit and work
Such entities
In unities
Bequeathed from peace

Lunch for the Bunch

Standard

Lunch for the bunch
Of ghosts within to toast
Their boasting that they rule
The way their host behaves
And craves each day the same
Propulsion of their merciless
Compulsions only if they learn
To churn in motions pity
To concede not lead
But heed the wisdom of the watcher
Sees it all unfold but pales to
Keep the throng and sway
From spilling over into
Detrimental
Devastation
Party politics so complex
Can’t compare nor ever dare
Complete the fitful feat
That bids to bridge the peace
