Pearl

Standard

I was born

By the spitting and the chewing

Gathered irritation

Of a bit of dirt

It hurt

But Pearl am I now

In my echo chamber

Hall of pewter

Vault iridescence

Cast of glow

In rainbows hue

On walls

I’ve grown accustomed to

My fate my due

I own and you?

Are what my beauty

Gets to wear
